GBM: BSU’s Declassified School Survival Guide
Join us for our first weekly GBM of the quarter on Tuesday, October 3rd at 5 p.m. in the Santa Rosa Lounge. This GBM will give you the ins and outs of everything you need to know at UCSB. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks to make this a successful school year, we highly encourage you to come!

Black Block Party
UCSB BSU IS proud to present our annual Black Block Party! Happening on Saturday, October 7th, we are excited to invite you to a day filled with delicious food, amazing live performances, and incredibly talented vendors! What better way to end your first week here than to embrace and celebrate our culture with your fellow BSU family? We hope to see you there! We are also accepting vendors until Wednesday, October 4th, so be sure to click the link below if you’d like to present your small business at the event. EVPLA: Know Your Resources Fair
Today October 2nd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. BSU will be tabling at EVLPA’s Know Your Resources Fair! Come on down to Storke Plaza for free food, live music, raffles, and the opportunity to learn more about the resources you have here on campus!

ADCRC Open House
Next week on Monday, October 9th, The African Diasporic Cultural Resource Center will be having an open house from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Located in the Student Resource Building (SRB), the ADCRC is a welcoming space for all students, staff, and faculty within the African diaspora.

AS/ EOP Grant
Attention EOP Students! Did you know that there is a grant that helps to cover irregular or unforeseen expenses? To be eligible you must be (1) an EOP student; (2) enrolled at least half-time; (3) eligible for need-based financial aid. If you’re eligible, we highly recommend applying for the grant as a way to help alleviate some of the financial stress you may be under. ADCRC: Black Gaucho Family Weekend
Save the date for an exciting weekend filled with celebration! November 4th marks the start of the Black Gaucho Family Weekend! From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. near the SRB, the ADCRC will be hosting events for the entire family to enjoy! Scan the QR code below to RSVP. ADCRC: Study Jam
Starting this week, the ADCRC will be hosting a study jam every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re looking for a place to study, listen to music, and get free snacks/ test materials, then the ADCRC Study Jam is the place to go!

Sister Circle: Black Womxn Support Group
Starting this week, Sister Circle invites all Black identifying womxn to join them every Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the ADCRC for open conversations on issues experienced at UCSB. If you’re looking for support from both peers and Black womxn CAPS psychologists and an EOP counselor, consider stopping by!
