Get excited for our 7th annual Heart & Soul Case on February 24th from 7 PM to 9 PM!UCSB BSU’s Heart & Soul Case is the place for Black students to share their Business, Arts, or Live Expressions, aimed at embracing and celebrating the beauty and history of the Black community.Interested in performing at this year's Heart & Soul Case or know anyone that might like to perform? BSU x AdCRC Study Jam

The African Diasporic Cultural Resource Center (AdCRC) at the Student Resource Building will be hosting study jams co-hosted by diverse Black student organizations every week. Receive academic counseling support form EOP and OBSD Academic Achievement Counselors. Music and culture from diverse regions of the Black/African diaspora featured weekly. Snacks, hot beverages, scantrons and blue books provided. UCSB BSU will be collaborating with the AdCRC this week. Be sure to stop by!

OBSD - Winter Black Student Forum Survey

"Calling all Black Students! Please fill out the attached survey in preparation for the Winter Quarter Black Student Forum, coming later this quarter.

This survey was created to gauge the overall health and well-being of Black Students at UCSB. Responses to this survey will not only help shape our community conversations at the Black Student Forum but will also help the OBSD better advocate for the needs of our Black Students.

Those who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle where 5 lucky students will be awarded a gift card for their participation."

UCSB EJA - Black in Environmental Studies

"Join the Environmental Justice Alliance’s first discussion on the Black student experience in the Environmental Studies department, hosted by our Community Programs Director Asata! Anyone interested in environmental issues is welcome this Friday from 5:30-7:30 pm in the AdCRC. Hope to see all Black ES majors there!"

OBSD - Black History Month Opening Ceremony

"Join the Office of Black Student Development next Wednesday, February 1st as we celebrate Black History Month with our annual Black History Month Opening Ceremony.

This event will feature student performances, the BHM essay competition winner, giveaways, and more! A soul food dinner and light refreshments will be served. Check the flyer for more info.
